Lars joined the Institute of Bee Health in August 2014. His master’s degree was completed at the University of Berne, where he worked on a DNA Barcoding project investigating genetic differences within sibling spider species. The research of his PhD will mainly focus on the impacts of neonicotinoid pesticides and parasites on honeybees. Key interest of his studies are the effects of the mentioned stressors on the drone honeybees.
