The bee hotels at the Liebefeld Campus and the Vetsuisse Campus at Länggasse aim to raise awareness and appreciation of bees. In regular time intervals, a new poster is placed on the back of the bee hotels with information on a specific topic related to bees and their importance to our environment. Further, we inform the public about sustainable measures that they can implement in their daily life to help protect bees and other insects and so mitigate the ongoing biodiversity decline.
The bee hotels and posters are done in close collaboration with the Swiss Bee Research Center, Agroscope, and the Communication & Marketing team of the University of Bern.
