Summary

B-GOOD is a project that aims at developing a EU-wide bee health and management data platform to enhance communication between scientists, beekeepers and other stakeholders. In this project, innovative tools will be developed and used to monitor a diverse range of bee health parameters, socio-economics surveys will be conducted and Big data will be analyzed with machine learning to find correlative relationships between honey bee health, beekeeping management strategies and the environment. The ultimate goal of B-GOOD is to supply beekeepers with a decision-making tool that will provide advices based on the flow of data from their beehives and local environmental conditions, including landscape composition and resource availability, agricultural practices and climate.

This project is funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program (grant agreement No 817622) and includes 17 partners from 13 countries.
